what's the point?

Conversion Cloud Product Coordination Meeting

The meeting was midday during lunch. We met in the boardroom and several people grabbed a plate of food to eat while listening.

This meeting is to report on progress and outline upcoming roadmap and projections. There were over a dozen people in attendance. - Sterling - CEO - Eric - CFO - Blakely - CSO - Cam - Strategy & Monetization - Aaron - CRO - Brandon - Head of Marketing - 4 engineers (2 support 2 checkout optimization) - 1 designer - 1 gm - 1 jr gm

and me.

Logan led the meeting and started with the numbers for the month for both the support/ai and checkout optimization products.

It's march 28th so the focus was on hitting or trying to hit stretch and quota goals from a revenue perspective.

Then, eng leads talked about eng days goals.

The rest of the meeting was a healthy discussion of what is going well for each product, what is up next, what is working, what needs improvement, etc.

Sterling, Eric, Blakely, Logan, Paxton did most of the talking.

Some engineers chimed in.

Aaron offered some thoughts.

All were providing useful insight, probing questions, froward thinking, etc.

I sat there with very, very little interest in what was being shared and even less able to come up with relevant questions, insight or opinions to offer.

I respect the others, but it baffles me how into this these people are.

They live for building business, strategizing, making more revenue for the company. There is nothing wrong with that.

It just surprises me every time how little I care about it all.
