my brother

A poem written for Landon. Read at he and Hannah's wedding, January 14, 2023 ______

have you ever met a kid who loved video games too much? he’d play for 10 hours straight and skip breakfast and lunch . or how about a kid who blamed you for the window he shattered bc when he threw the batteries at my head they touched me last and hit the window afterward . or the kid who always won the competitions at school? be it business or sports, he even thought math was cool . and what about the kid who always gets in your head to the point where you throw all his belongings out the window including his bed . or the kid from high school who attracted all the girls? well, then we ain’t talkin' about the same kid bc for him — girls was not plural . but all jokes aside, this kid keeps us laughin' if you get to know him you’ll find his comedy ain't lackin' . and the more you get to know him the more loyal he’ll be bc he doesn’t mess around when it comes to friends and family . this kid’s passionate and dedicated — he does hard things for a living what makes him special is that he’s equally as giving. . this kid looks out for others, he’s selfless and kind he’s always loved big — that hearts a gold mine . it’s these traits that make him a man like no other and that’s why i’m proud to call this kid my brother 💛
