my ambition

There’s too much suffering in this world for me to look inward at myself I pray, “God, send me toward those who feel hopeless and without help.” half words half tears they cry, “I can’t do this one more day!” Thankfully, Love began the chase and refuses to let us escape. . Sometimes they think the world would become better without ’em. That’s not true. We need YOU and me and there’s no doubt about it. But they rebuttal, “no one would know. and no one would even care!” I disagree. A house becomes a home when EVERYONE is there! . For a time this world will be a place of temporary stay. Yet, for years many wander homeless, alone, and afraid. But God designed us like a puzzle– created for connection. That’s why Jesus TOUCHED the leper to rid him of infection. . Against all rules and laws He gently stretched out His hand testing the age old myth which claimed He’d wither– skin to sand. But what’s contagious was His love and holiness, too. He’s the cure for the diseased and reaches out to me and you. . Whether sick or blind or lame or mute or sinner or saddened or beaten en route to Jericho where we can finally be freed we all fall and collapse and can hardly breathe. . We can’t do it alone, we weren’t meant to anyway. Even when we’ve been passed the Samaritan halts without delay to stop and reach out, again, in compassion, to heal wounds one by one in His intimate fashion. . As He brings us to the inn we see His hands full of payment. “It is finished!” then we rest, in that His final statement. Healed, helped, and given hope, His grace in us imbued. Love God and all His people– His only plea to me and you.
